My friends and family always make fun of me because of my love for rain. I love everything about it: the way it sounds, the way it smells, everything. So needless to say, my kids have to have the cutest matching outerwear for siblings to play in the rain.

A fond memory I have of the rain involves Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
My family decided to go there for a quick vacation and it absolutely poured the entire time (I loved it, everyone else, not so much). We got these yellow ponchos that are so thin and don’t keep you dry at all, but I thought they were the coolest things.
I couldn’t have been more than seven or eight years old when we went and I had never worn a poncho before. We walked around the entire park still experiencing everything with our ponchos on. It was one of the best and most memorable vacations of my childhood.
Isn’t it weird the things we remember from our childhood?
My twins are just now to the point where I think they would have fun jumping in mud puddles and playing in the rain. Now, to wait on the next shower!
