Pros and Cons of the Course
This is the best SEO course for bloggers and I’ll tell you why. The modules are extremely detailed and thorough. There are multiple lessons in each module which allow the student to go into depth about that topic. There are also actions at the end of each module that give you step-by-step procedures of a task (almost always contain screenshots so you can see what the task should look like in real life).
I love how the course keeps track of where you are, so if you have to stop suddenly in the middle of a module, you can always pick back up wherever you left off.
Honestly, I can’t harp enough on how detailed it is. I came across another SEO course that I was looking in to, but I didn’t think I would get as much out of it. It only had a few videos in it and was more expensive.
One of the things that was not appealing about the course was that it was time consuming. But, any SEO course is time consuming if you do it right. There is so much information provided in this class that it can be so overwhelming. But, of course, the author has lots of ways to keep up with all of that information.
One example is she has provided a detailed checklist of what you should do before you hit the ‘publish’ button on your post, regarding optimization. I use this list religiously when writing blog posts.

A lot of SEO courses for bloggers aren’t as thorough and meticulous when explaining the ‘why’. ‘Not Your Average SEO Course‘ not only walks you through every step but also explains why we’re doing what we’re doing. Knowing the ‘why’ is very important because understanding what you’re doing will enable you to be the best blogger you can be.
A huge benefit of taking this course is that you have access to the Facebook group, where you can ask any question related to the course. I use this feature a lot because I get feedback from people who have different niches than I do, so it’s great to have third party advice.
The author always has monthly activities in the Facebook group to help you with productivity. Sometimes it can be super hard to stay motivated and that little push could be all that you need to get you over your hump.
The main reason I chose this course was the cost. If someone advertises a free SEO course to you, please know that it isn’t in depth and won’t be as useful to you than a paid course. I’ve seen courses range from twenty dollars to five hundred dollars. This one is strategically on the lower end, making it affordable for everyone but also giving you all of the data that the five hundred dollar one would give you. Definitely a win/win in my book!
