I was able to breastfeed/pump for the first 4 months of my babies lives. One of the best multi-functional items I received at my baby shower was the Twin Z Nursing Pillow. The pillow doubles as a breastfeeding pillow and a lounger.
When using it as a breastfeeding pillow, the middle section sits straight up to give your back the extra support it needs while nursing. And the clasp in the front of the pillow locks in place so that the pillow is stable during the feeding.
We used the twin boppy as a lounger a lot. It was so convenient because the twins fit in the little holes perfectly and it sat them up at an angle, which especially helped my son since he had reflux.
